Ten years of teaching.
Not a beat wasted.
I've played and taught across bass, snare, and tenor drums, and spent over a decade turning that experience into lessons that actually move students forward — real technique, real confidence, and a lasting love for drumming.
I care about your growth as a musician and as a person.
Every lesson meets you where you are and helps you move forward.
My story
My drumming journey began as a kid with a pair of sticks and a practice pad — I was hooked instantly. Over the years I've played and taught across bass, snare, and tenor drums, and drumming became more than a hobby; it became my life's work.
I spent years teaching at a Music & Arts-style retail teaching center, one of the largest music education providers in the country. That experience shaped me as a teacher — I learned how to connect with students of every age, break down complex ideas, and build lessons that are clear, encouraging, and genuinely engaging.
But more than anything, it showed me what matters most: quality instruction, real results, and a personal connection. It also showed me why fundamentals matter — a full kit gives a student four limbs' worth of places to hide a bad habit, while a pad and two hands make every flaw immediately visible and correctable.
That's why I chose to go independent. I wanted the freedom to focus on what I believe in — teaching fundamentals the right way, one student at a time, in a supportive environment built around discipline, creativity, and real progress — without distractions or gimmicks.
Rodrumming is that vision.
